That’s why I love them so much. I grew up in Waco about 20 miles away and to think someone from Abbott, Texas could get so famous!!!!!

Ahhh, that is a lovely picture …congratulations from Chilliwack BC Canada..I love your music and contributions to humanity…
Good pics, handsome children!
These are two great people. I’ve known them since the 60s. I now live close to Abbott,Texas!
Thank you Willie and Bobbie for the music. God Bless you both. Hope to see you in concert this year. Peace.
When I travelled to the US in 2012 (from Australia), I made a special trip to Abbott to see where Willie and his family lived. It was a truly lovely experience. I hope to get back one day soon to one of Willie’s shows.
Willie and Bobbie definitely have set a Guiness Record ,for time playing together .Over 70 years starting in Abbott Methodist Church .Great to see they have saved it .Im from a similar place -Mocksville NC ,and Center Methodist Church .My grandfather ,came over from England -designed my childhood church ,was a dairy farmer .Always felt I identify with Willie and Bobbie .
Ive become a somewhat known Fashion Designer .Love to do Willie s next Black Tie Jacket .
Every time I see a picture of Willie and Bobbie together, I have to smile. They always look genuinely happy to be together. There are not many brothers and sisters who could live together on a bus for the better part of a year, for many years, and still enjoy each other’s company. One more thing for me to admire and love about you, Willie! You are amazing in so many aspects of life.
He is awesome in our books. We have seen him many times and have his cd’s most if them. When someone asks about your favorite singer it is Willie Nelson hands down the best.
I didn’t mention those are neat pictures of the kids from Abbott Texas.
Thanks so much for sharing, Had the pleasure of seeing both you and Bobbie several times and each time we had a great time!
Abbott has changed a little since those pictures…..and the USPO is shutting down the post office to only 4 hours a day…..what’s a farmer to do?
James here from Abbott, Tx., I married into the Muehlstein family 16 years ago. Our farm is just east of where Willie grew up-he played dominoes with some of my wife’s side of the family. We have a 17-year old daughter who has been on a feeding tube since last year. One of my wishes is that she could meet Willie sometime, and so that he could hear her main hit song in the hospital, with a tube down het throat, and in pain- the song”Make A Difference”, has inspired all kids and staff at Cook Childrens hospital in Ft. Worth. Sonny Burgess started the recording studio at the hospital, along with Garth Brooks. Sonny has gotten to know us, and especially our daughter, and has has recorded her song- it’s amazing even to Troy Aichman whom we met at the hospital. My daughter is our little hero, and she has inspired so many! Willie should take notice- my daughter would amaze him, like she did with Troy. -Jay Elvis, Abbott, Tx.
James, I hope Willie takes notice! My prayers are with you and your family. I’d love to hear too 😉
Great pics! Great folks! Stay strong and god bless!

I attended Willie’ shows in the 60’s in Vegas. I remember him –after the shows–giving checks to lots of needy people. Not charity—help-

Love them both. She is so good to him as he is her. keep brushing his hair Bobbie. He loves you.
You two are so blessed and lucky to have had such a great career together. I discovered Willie in Honeysuckle Rose. I thought that looked like the best time ever, traveling with your fellow musicians, playing fun music and fun gigs, and traveling town to town. I always thought how fun it would be to sit in on piano for a gig. I just saw your show a couple weeks ago at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights, MI. Good to see you’re still putting it out there. Thanks for everything. -Tom
I sat and played my guitar on the from porch of Willie’s Abbott home last April 29 2013, after attending Willie’s 80th birthday party at the Backyard.
What a peaceful place Abbott Texas is. Willie nelson is my idol. so i wrote a song “Willie will you do one with me?” which is on our new album, with some clips of the song also on our website
Thank you for the great inspiration Willie.
My husband, also a country boy, who was a big fan of Willie’s, passed away 6 years ago. In memory, the ring tone on my phone is “You Are Always On My Mind” a great favorite
Had the pleasure of first meeting you’ll at Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin back in the early 70’s, and have been lucky enough to see you in concert on many occasions over the years!!! Willie you are truly a blessing to our society! All the best to you and your family! I was in the crowd the night of your 80th birthday in Estero, Florida…
