I am a native northern Californian (ranching family since 1850’s), female 50 years old, 25 years in Switzerland, married to a Swiss man. I grew up with your music and have always loved it (thanks Dad!). My Swiss husband shares my tastes! I was at one of your Family Picnics when I was 17 and again in Zürich Kongresshaus around 1995 (?). Tonight we celebrated the purchase of my husband’s lifelong dream (Piega Speakers!) by listening to your music on DVD (“Live and Kickin” and “Outlaws and Angels”). Wow! It was like hearing it again for the first time. My husband and I are usually blues and rock enthusiasts- immersing ourselves in various genres when they are played well. Willie, you cut through the genres and seem to be at home everywhere and with so many different artists- you are truly amazing and we never tire of watching and listening to you. Was looking to see what you are up to on your website. Beautiful but sad song with your sister Bobby (December Day). Wish we could hold you forever in Autumn- your music has been such an important part of my life! You break all the molds and stereotypes and that’s what makes you so unique! Coming to Switzerland soon!!!? We will always have your music in our hearts. Mrs. Laurel Niesen Mogl

Really enjoyed listening to December Day…always knew Willie had it…but “little sister” is right up there with him! Willie, one of the mant things you have to be thankful for this year, is Bobbie. Oh, not to mention that this old “doll” is still CRAZY about you after all these years!!

Willie, love the two songs together from tougher than leather I think. December day so appropriate fur a day like today in NYC. I hope you will come out to amagensett NY and do a fund raiser at Stephen Talkhouse in the summer. Loved seeing you at Four seasons 2 summers ago for the intrepid fund.

  5. I just love December Day. Think it’s absolutely delightful. But I’m also wondering if you have any plans to visit the UK any time soon Willie? You see….my dear friend….Brittish singer songwriter….CHARLIE LANDSBOROUGH…………has always wanted to sing with you………couple years ago he was awarded his own place in the Brittish Country Music Hall of Fame………..he is very talented indeed and I think you would enjoy his music…I’d love to hear what you think….please check him out on You Tube….one his best known songs is called….What Colour is the Wind……………please…if you have a moment to spare…would you care to take a look………..only CHARLIE has been a fan of yours for many many years…………and I would love for him to be able to sing with you……he’s not getting any younger either(73yrs)……..he is a good man……….you would be very proud to know him if you had the chance, here’s hoping. Kind regards, Diana Gregory
