Performance Review: “Willie Nelson’s Celebrate Brooklyn! Show Was A ‘Hillbilly Dream Come True'”

 —  August 14, 2015 — 5 Comments

“With his birth state’s flag draped large behind him and the Family Band he’s toured with since the Seventies, Nelson took the Celebrate Brooklyn! stage just as the sun set over Prospect Park. His legendary locks have long since faded to gray, but Nelson will always be known as the Red-Headed Stranger, a travelin’ man with a million stories to tell and a way of telling them through songs that have captivated audiences all over the world.”

“Though it’s rare to find hillbillies in the Big Apple, Nelson’s Celebrate Brooklyn! performance brought out the hillbilly in all of us, if only for one lovely evening.”

This message is for Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson, My name is Jay and I write this message for my wife Cindy. She is a huge fan of yours. She lives with chronic pain and has taken up the guitar as a form of therapy to forget the pain. We are in the Scranton area and could not attend the Peach Festival at Montage. If you had a free moment from your busy schedule a kind word for her by e-mail would be appreciated. This would be a present surprise for her. Thank You in advance. Best wishes, Jay Straub

  4. I have always loved Willie because he is just so Willie I went to his concert in Biloxi Ms and was blown away. He really cares about his fans and was just what you expected. He shook my hand and signed my husbands hat. I just really love Willie

  5. Really enjoyed the concert in Atlantic City, at The Borgata new Festival Park! I was working backstage so got to see all the activity that it takes to keep a legend going. Didn’t formally get to meet the family, but your wife is a very pretty lady, and so is your daughter!

Hope you can come back sometime soon!
