The first days back on the road were a little rocky. These are the first concerts without our sweet Bee, who passed away in December. Billy English moved over from drums to bass, and my brother Micah played drums for the first couple of nights until the new bassist arrived. His name is Kevin Smith.

Kevin is no stranger to country music. He has played for years with Asleep at the Wheel and was even playing bass on their last Asleep at the Wheel CD with Dad called, Willie and the Wheel. Welcome to the Family Kevin.

While there’s no way to ever “replace” Bee, and since life still limps on, here we are. Willie Nelson and Family, putting one foot in front of the other and living one day at a time.
