Pedernales Poo Poo
Herschel Greer Stadium - Nashville
The day started early with a BioWillie meeting on the bus, discussing with some folks smarter than us about BioDiesel, its virtures, ways to pormote it and the places that offer it such as Carl's Corner Truck Stop, etc. This meeting stopped for various phone calls, many visitors and an interview with The Wall Street Journal, re: BioDiesel. The Bio meeting was postponed until the afternoon to make way for another meeting with Chips Moman regarding the new cd he and Dad are recording. During that meeting Fred Foster showed up with a copy of the new cd he produced of Dad singing Cindy Walker songs. Within seconds Herkey Williams arrived with his golf clubs for a round of golf that Dad would never have time to play. Fred Foster left and Frank Oakley of the Willie Nelson Museum came aboard to have a meeting about the video library that Dad owns with all the old Wilburn Brothers Shows from the 60's, currently running on RFD-TV. Meanwhile Dad's record label, Lost Highway, made sure copies of the new Reggae cd, Countryman, arrived on the bus, much to the delight of everyone. Sister Amy Lee showed up with armloads of her new cd with Cathy Guthrie (Arlo's daughter),which by the way is available at Folkuke.com, and began passing them around. Billy Joe Shaver arrived right after Amy with a copy of the song (If At First You Don't Succeed) he and Dad are planning to record together, and gave Dad a copy of his newest cd. By now the BioDiesel team returned and made an attempt to finish their business, when the bus started filling up again with friends and family. It was time to go to work.
