    Hallo!

I think, I’m one of your biggest fan in Germany and I’m visiting Austin in July ONLY for meeting “my” Willie Nelson live. I was workling very hard over a few years to get the money for the ticket to Texas, so I’m really glad to see you this year.

    Bye, Willie!

    Uli 🙂

  2. This may be a stupid question but I would want to attend this mainly to see willie…. Will he be performing a good bit or just hosting?

    • That all depends on how long the rest of the show is. If they stay on time he will perform for 1 1/2 hours. He usually fills in the remaining time with out going over the curfew.

Would love to bring my daughter out to see Willie, just like I did when I was little and he played at Annie Golightly’s place. She was a dear friend to my grandparents. Lots of great memories for my family revolve around dancing and singing along to Willie Nelson.

  4. is this a family friendly event? Thanks!

    • you should call the venue. they are not offering child tickets and it will include alcohol and Texas Heat in july

My father in law, who is absolutely the sweetest man you could ever know, has never seen Willie before. He lost his wife , 2 years ago May 13, 2015, to pancreatic cancer & has been so down & depressed. Then, when we saw that B.B. King had passed away, we got to talking about who we’d love to see live & my father in law said, (& he speaks very softly), “The only person I would like to see live is Willie Nelson. I’ve always wanted to see him, but never had the chance.” After everything he has been through, I would love to be able to take him to the July 4th picnic, but I have no money as MY mother has been fighting cancer over the last year herself (she has had 6 completely different types of cancer….all unrelated to one another…..& had an arterial bypass on her leg & also had a stroke. Thankfully she came through it, but it’s been a truly tough 2 years with my mother in law & my own Mamma going through all of this. My point is, I can’t afford the tickets to take my father in law (as well as myself & my husband….& that’s the only way he’d ever go is with us) & pay for the trip to Austin too. Does Willie ever help fans out? I know that’s a lot to ask, but I just can’t think of another way to do it & this sweet soul deserves to have some fun after all he’s been through. He never does ANYTHING except work in his garden & I’d just love to see him laugh & have a good time. Thank you so much for all you do…..you are such an amazing artist (& funny as all get out I might add..ha ha) & an ultra cool human being. Thanks for taking the time out to read this (I know it’s long) & taking my request into consideration, I truly appreciate it more than you know.

I think he might enjoy a Willie Nelson concert in a nice concert hall or club better than the long grueling day in July heat, especially if he is elderly. You don’t say where you’re from. A Picnic involves lots of varied musicians, many of them younger, and possibly not entertaining for an older man.

    • Did your father in law get to see Willie?

  6. I was so hoping to see this event at Carson Creek Ranch

  7. Can’t wait to see you and Kacey Musgraves!!!

    Hi Willie

  9. I would love to see the concert, I have my .sirius radio set to willies road house and love that station. This would be amazing to win a chance to see Willie Nelson in person.

I’ve seen Willie and family one time and i have always been a BIG fan of all. Willie and family put on a great show. So entertaining and energetic and Willie was so crowd friendly. I have since read his book and understand why. He is just a damn good person. I would love to attend the picnic and see and hear all the good music live just one more time.

I am 65 years old and I used to go see you whatever you were anywhere near Atlanta, ga. I always brought you yellow roses, if Waylon was there, he got red. Front row one night at the omni, best concert ever. Met you in the side bleachers. Thrill of my life. Would love to see you one more time before I die, and let one son know The Thrill!!!!! Best Damn concerts are done by Willie !!!!!! I love you man!!!!!

  12. Hi! I just bought 3 tickets for this show! I’m surprising my parents (David age 73 and Louise 65) with tickets. The 4th is actually their anniversary! My Dad loves Willie but he would never buy anything nice for himself thus why these tix are a secret. I can’t recall ever seeing a concert with my daddy and I’m glad I have this once in a lifetime opportunity. Anyway, we’ll be way out there on the lawn enjoying this beautiful bucket list event. Love you, Willie!!!

  13. My question is – will there 1 stage or 2? So many great entertainers…I don’t see how 1 stage will handle them all. We were at Billy Bob’s for Willie’s 80th birthday 4th of July event and we’ll be in Austin this year. Our 30th anniversary…that was my wife’s wish for our anniversary.

  14. My mother turns 60 this year July 27th
I would love to treat her to something very special. A Willie Nelson concert would be a perfect way to celebrate!
She has been an amazing mother an inspiration in my life. As a young 19 year old mother raising to children I am lucky to have a beautiful relationship with her to go and enjoy live music together. She lost her parents at the age of 5 and my father was very ill in his 20’s she cared for him, she has made a good life for herself despite her hardships and I admire her strength. I want her to be able to something that will be a once in a lifetime experience. We were a family that didn’t have a lot of riches but we were raised with love. I want my mother to feel loved and enjoy a memorable concert with Willie Nelson to celebrate her 60 wonderful years!

  15. When will a performance schedule be released? Or has it already been?

  16. Rebekah Johnson June 9, 2015 at 5:31 PM

Hi, myself and 5 of my friends are trying to buy general admission lawn tickets to this event. They are sold out online, but it says to try back later when it is closer to the date. How likely is it for them to release more tickets? I see that they have released more for the pit, but not the lawn. Thanks ahead of time! 🙂

  17. Hey Willie

Last time I saw you it was Willie, Waylon, Jessie 1977 Baton Rouge. It was a Blast. My late husband and I stay to the end and then some. When a friend of mine said she was looking for someone to go with her I said hell to the yeah I’m going. Can’t wait will bring back so many great memories. See you soon.

Those were the days of having fun fun and whatever else.

  18. What can you take in to the picnic?

  19. Melissa Platt June 17, 2015 at 2:46 PM

Is there somewhere I can find a schedule of the days events for the 4th of July Picnic? Can’t wait!!!!

  20. Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon everyday.
It will always be useful to read through articles from other writers and practice something from other web
    sites.

  21. Thank you, I have recently been searching for info about this
topic for ages and yours is the best I’ve came upon till
now. But, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you
positive in regards to the supply?

  22. what time will the show end/fireworks get started?

  23. Is there a schedule of events available yet? I know there was not one available during the middle of June, but it’s the week of the concert, so I just wanted to check again.

The event starts at 12PM, but there are so many performers that I am suspecting Willie Nelson won’t play until after the sun goes down at 10PM or 11PM. I just don’t want to get there so early that the hot sun wears me out, and I end up missing the main Willie Nelson show.

    Thanks for any info!

Aloha Willie and Family. We are looking forward to bringing our family to the show this weekend, but did not purchase a ticket for our 3 year old. Is that OK?

  25. Kelsey Connery July 4, 2015 at 3:23 PM

I’m sitting on the 360 lawn typing this. It’s hot, but no rain, and the show has been going on since noon, and according to the performers schedule, (which I can’t access at the moment) it’s scheduled for 12 hours?

  26. Kelsey Connery July 4, 2015 at 3:29 PM

Kristofferson scheduled in about 15 min. Pavillion stage, for a half hour.

  27. Every weekend i used to pay a quick visit this web site, as i want enjoyment,
as this this site conations in fact nice funny stuff too.

  28. ‘This week, I will only drink one beer on Friday night, saving myself thousands
of calories’. As mentioned earlier, Visalus seriously isn’t a gimmick.

For anybody who is scanning this report, I would guess that you are looking to register with
Visalus and so are searching around for reputable information about Visalus Sciences.

  29. Hello we are interested in becoming a food vendor for this event, do you know how we find out more information on this or who we may need to contact?

    Regards,
    Melissa

  30. Like to know about coming a food vendor. I’m a kettle corn vendor and love to be there

  32. Natalie Najvar April 4, 2016 at 3:53 PM

Will Willie be returning to Austin for his 4th of July Picnin this year?

  33. Hi Willie!
I am hoping to see you soon maybe this summer in Texas-will there be a family friendly venue or daytime show that I can bring my kids to? They love to sing your classics and spirit album. I want them to see you live. I’ve seen you countless times over the years at the 4th of July picnic. We are in Houston but could road trip if there was a good destination within a few hours. We love you and are so greatful for your soundtrack to our lives! Love always!!
    Sarah

  34. Anxiously awaiting the announcement to book my travel tickets for this years picnic!!!
